Summary:
The Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) is a new permanent visa program to be delivered by the Australian Government. Under PEV, up to 3,000 visas will be allocated to Pacific islanders annually by a ballot process across participating countries. Applicants selected in the ballot will be able to apply for permanent residence in Australia. Subject to country participation being confirmed, PEV is expected to launch in 2024.
PEV aims to increase permanent migration from the Pacific and Timor-Leste, growing the diaspora in Australia, strengthening people-to-people links, and encouraging greater cultural, business and educational exchange. DFAT has appointed a consortium led by Icon Agency (the Icon Consortium) to deliver the Pacific Engagement Visa offshore support services. Consortium partner Island Spirit will be responsible for in-country services, supporting PEV clients in each participating country through the ballot, visa and pre-departure stages.
Role description:
The PEV Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the Pacific Engagement Visa Offshore Support Service, is well supported implemented in line with project expectations within their country.
Working closely with the Island Spirit Australia team, you will support the in-country Program Lead in driving project implementation. You will achieve this by assisting in the organisation and preparation of project activities in an efficient and timely manner to ensure its success.
Key responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day implementation of the program’s activities, tasks and communication.

Liaise with local partners, organisations, and stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.

Provide technical support and guidance to local partners and beneficiaries.

Monitor and report on the progress and quality of the program’s activities and outcomes.

Prepare the financial and administrative reports, including budget tracking, expense reports, and purchase orders.

Contribute to the development and implementation of the program’s in-country strategy and work plan.

Support the In-Country Lead in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with government officials, civil society, community leaders, organisations, and stakeholders.

5+ years of industry experience, preferably in a corporate or government setting

At least 5 years of experience in a similar co-ordinator role.
