Island Spirit Australia works alongside individuals, families and communities across the Pacific and Timor-Leste to help people understand employment opportunities, prepare for recruitment processes, build workforce readiness and make informed decisions about living and working in Australia.
We support people at every stage of the journey, from exploring opportunities through to employment preparation and transition planning. Where there is a strong match between an applicant and an employer, we can also facilitate employment referrals and introductions.

When an applicant's skills, experience and aspirations align with an available opportunity, we may facilitate introductions and referrals to employers. Employment outcomes are based on employer requirements and applicant suitability.
Case Study
Supporting Employment Pathways Through the Pacific Engagement Visa
Island Spirit Australia is proud to contribute to the delivery of employment support services under the Australian Government's Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) initiative. Working as part of a consortium contracted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), our team supports participants from Pacific Island countries and Timor-Leste as they navigate employment opportunities and prepare for life and work in Australia. The PEV Support Service is delivered through a consortium led by Icon Agency, with Asuria providing employment services alongside in-country delivery partners across the Pacific region.
The Pacific Engagement Visa is a permanent residency pathway that strengthens connections between Australia and the Pacific. As part of this initiative, Island Spirit Australia's Employment Services team provides employment readiness support, information, guidance and access to employment-related resources that help participants understand the Australian labour market and make informed decisions about their future.
Our role is not to guarantee employment outcomes. Rather, we help participants prepare for opportunities, build confidence, understand employer expectations and navigate recruitment processes. Where a participant's skills, experience and aspirations align with employer requirements, we may facilitate introductions and referrals to suitable employment opportunities. Employment outcomes ultimately depend on applicant suitability and employer decision-making.
This approach reflects our broader commitment to locally led development, ensuring Pacific people are supported by teams who understand local contexts, cultures and aspirations while helping them prepare for meaningful participation in Australia's workforce.
