THE PROUD HISTORY OF NONI
The Morinda Citrifolia fruit, or "Noni" is believed to have first arrived in
the Pacific at least 2000 years ago when the ancient peoples of Polynesia
brought the noni plant with them as a source of food and medicine when they
colonized the islands of the South Pacific. The noni is believed to have
originated from India and the surrounding sub-continental regions. The fruit
was so revered and respected for not only its nutritional value but also its
medicinal properties, Samoan explorers considered it an essential part of any
long voyage of discovery.
Traditional uses of the noni plant are varied and virtually every part of the
plant is used as some form of medicine. Apart from the juice, the ancient
Polynesian healers used noni leaves as a bandage or poultice for wounds. Root
or stem bark was typically used to treat inflammation or infections. Research
into the traditional uses of noni indicate that it was one of the most popular
plant used in herbal remedies with approximately 40 known and recorded
formulations. In fact, so popular was the noni that it was soon cultivated
across the Polynesian islands as a staple crop and "miracle fruit".
Today, noni is still widely used and respected for its amazing nutritional
properties throughout Samoa. We at Island Spirit ® bring Noni Juice to you the
way it is supposed to be – 100% Natural and without any form of additives to

FROM TRADITIONAL HARVEST TO MODERN BOTTLING
Noni has been part of the Samoan way of life for well over 1000 years. Today
the secret is well and truly out, with millions of people around the world
consuming the juice daily as a health tonic to maintain their wellbeing and to
treat illness. But with over 200 noni manufacturers and bottlers across the
globe, the question that arises for the new consumer is Which noni juice brand
do I choose?
Your selection should be based on product quality, price and availability. We
believe that Island Spirit ® Samoan noni offers one of the purest and highest
quality juice products available anywhere in the world.
A TIME HONOURED PROCESS - EVERY NONI FRUIT IS HAND-PICKED AND SELECTED
After being hand-picked by the local villages from fruit trees growing in the
wild, only the best is selected for processing. The noni fruit is then
naturally fermented in a tradition that dates back centuries. The exact time of
fermentation of our noni juice is a well-kept family secret. It is important to
note that many of the major noni juice brands select any fruit.
Island Spirit ® Noni consists of only carefully selected ripe fruit because it
has the highest nutritional value. In an effort to maintain production level
quotas, many growers merely select both raw and overripe fruit at harvest for
fermentation. This greatly affects the quality of the end product. From natural
fermentation, the noni is then hand squeezed to extract the pure juice. Once
again, many of our competitors "taint" the process, by adding water, juice or
natural flavors.
The noni is then slowly pasteurized as we believe that this best ensures the
quality and nutrient value of the end product. This organically certified pure
and natural juice is then packaged and shipped to Australia where it's bottled
under TGA Certification by Nutrition Care Pharmaceuticals exclusively for
Island Spirit ® Australia.

RECOMMENDED USE
JUST A SHOT A DAY!
Your cost: Only $1.60 per day
The daily recommended intake of Noni juice will vary according to the
individual. A workable average is 25ml - 30ml per day taken before eating
breakfast. Some people find that 15ml per day is sufficient. Others find that
they need to take up to 50mls per day to get the desired benefit. For people
with more chronic conditions or for those recovering from severe illness or
injury, it may be more effective to take an increased amount of Noni. In such
instances, taking 50ml to 60ml per day can be very effective.
It is possible to have too much of a good thing. Taking too much Noni can
result in severe diarrhea or stomach cramps. Amounts of over 80ml per day are
considered above normal and you should be very careful about taking amounts
over 120mls per day.
Most people take Noni as part of their daily vitamin supplement regime and find
that it helps them maintain good health. However, some take it only when they
are experiencing major health issues, feel stress, experience pain or are
looking to boost their immune system. Again, it is up to the individual.
And remember: Keep it in the fridge once you've opened it.
Please note that Noni should not be used as a meal replacement or as
an alternative to any medicine prescribed by your family doctor. Please speak
further to your doctor before taking Noni for treatment of any serious
ailments.
